Finding a Way to Help Others

Wanting to make a difference in people’s lives, Dr Tan chose to enter the dental field and was awarded a scholarship to study dentistry at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Honours) in 1994. Since then, he has completed two postgraduate degrees, one in Dental Implantology from Charles Sturt University and another in Conscious Sedation and Pain Control from the University of Sydney.

He is certified by the the Dental Board of Australia to administer intravenous sedation to dental patients. He has a special interest in treating dentally anxious patients. The majority of his work involves the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants, cosmetic dentistry and sedation dentistry.

Dr Tan moved to the Southern Highlands in 1995, providing cutting-edge dentistry to our community. He is a member, by examination, of the esteemed Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. He is also a member of The Australian Dental Association. As part of his continual desire to provide exceptional care for his patients, Dr Tan has received training from the leading dental educators in Australia and overseas. Committed to serving others, Dr Tan is proud to donate his time and dental skills to Mission Australia’s Triple Care Farm, a residential treatment program for young adults with substance dependency or mental illness. Outside of the practice, Dr Tan enjoys surfing, running and hiking. His children were born and raised here, and he is proud to be a part of the beautiful Southern Highlands community.

Georgia – Senior Dental Nurse and Reception Whiz

Georgia loves all aspects of dental assisting. She loves interacting with all our patients. If you have been fortunate (or otherwise) to have been put on hold when you ring, it is her voice that you hear on the recording. She hails from Camden but decided some time ago that the Highlands were more in keeping with her refined manners and taste in life. She loves cooking, cleaning and is terrified of Huntsman spiders.
